Every year, volunteers who create videos for the local television landscape in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany, receive prizes for their dedication and creativity in video production.
For the ceremony of 2016, I was asked a second time to create an intro video and corresponding motion graphic elements to showcase the nominated videos. Significant for citizen media is the fact, that people don’t require a lot of resources to create great videos, which I wanted to focus on in the concept. As the speaker in the beginning tells us: “It doesn’t need much”, it only takes a sheet of paper, a piece of rope or an onion, to become something beautiful and unexpected. The shot of the camera in the end seals the metaphor of the great videos the volunteers have created.
My Roles:
Concept creation • stop motion animation • project management • motion graphics animation • editing nominated videos and implementing the motion graphics elements • providing the finished video to the event organiser
