As part of the final exam of my apprenticeship as an audiovisual media designer the task given by the examination office was to create a television or scenic film with the topic “unexpected visitor”. I carried that to a microscopic level, where an evil virus - the unexpected visitor, intrudes the body of a busy comic book manager. She can only defeat them, if she allows herself the recovery she needs.
Since it was my job to prove my skills to the examination office during my apprenticeship at the TV broadcast station and the vocational school, I was obligated to execute all preparing, technical and design aspects myself, without any further help from anyone more qualified than me at that time.
My roles included:
Creating the screenplay.
Finding locations and requesting for permits.
Financial planning of the whole production (fictional).
Preparing the equipment.
Casting the main and supporting characters.
Direction on set.
Camera operator on set.
Logistics and catering on set.
Sound engineer on set.
Post-production.
Motion Design animation with illustrations given by a drawer-
Editing the short film.
Distribution to the local television station and the examination office.
